Grand Ole Party was a three piece composed of Kristin Gundred (singer/drummer), John Paul(guitar) and Mike Krechneyak (bassist). They started playing in San Diego in mid 2006, having moved from the San Francisco area. In 2007, they were voted Best Alternative Artist by the San Diego Music Awards and also released Humanimals. In 2009 they recorded a second album but broke up before it's release.
